Celtic Christmas (Noel) and Celtic Spring Together

I thought I would put both of my finished Celtic pieces together on one page, Summer, Autumn and Winter to do now...lol

Celtic Spring Finished after 82 hours stitching.

I have just completed my Celtic Spring project.  She took 82 hours to stitch with 100's of beads on.  I now plan to do Celtic Summer next on black evenweave.

Celtic Spring at 56 hours WIP

I am slowly working my way along on my Celtic Spring, not that far to go now, but I'm running out of Petite Treasure Braid, which is the best ever metallic thread going...fantastic to stitch with, so soft, not like all the others that are tough to stitch with.  I will carry on as far as I can without my gold if I get stuck, I'll be changing projects till I can buy some more.

Here she is after 56 hours of stitching.

Little Christmas Stitching

I finished my commission work stitch last week so I took a couple of days to do some small things, this is what I was doing on one piece of fabric, I will cut them when I know what I'm going to make with them.

This weekend I went back to my Celtic Spring but I need some supplies but I need to wait for pay day before I can get them so I may be back stitching something small.

45 Hours on Celtic Spring

I have reached the possible half way mark now at 45 hours, Celtic Christmas (Noel) took me 90 hours to stitch.

I have now put this beauty up on my main large floor frame and I plan to do an hour a day this coming week as I have a work commission from the magazine on the go on my lapframe.

Hopefully she won't take me that long to complete now as most of the beads are done.

37 hours on Celtic Spring

I have done more on Celtic Spring since I took this photo at tea time yesterday.  But this was taken when I reached 37 hours.  I am now on the top rows, I will soon be half way and doing the dress section.

Keep watching, but I will slow down next week as I have some commission stitching coming in the post today.

34 Hours on Celtic Spring

Here is today's progress. I'm up to 34 hours now, I must be getting near half way now, I think once I reach the top I will be.

29 Hours on Celtic Spring and a Beading Mat

I have just received a beading mat today, a sticky one and it's brilliant, no more messing about picking up a pot of beads to throw them across the sofa, every time I want a bead.  This mat is great on my working fabric.  I have left the backing plastic on the mat and held it in place with 2 strong magnets, then when I'm going to work on a section with loads of beads, I just get the beads I need on the  mat and job done, just bring the needle over to the mat and pick them up.  Quick and easy.

Today's update on Celtic Spring WIP

I've just thrown a pot of beads across the sofa so it's time to call it a night I think.
Here she is, I just wish I could take a decent photo to show it off properly.

Celtic Spring - New WIP

I have been missing beading a lot this week, strangely so I have decided to stitch another Celtic Lady, with just finishing Celtic Christmas.

So we have chosen Celtic Spring.  I ordered what I needed yesterday with Sew and So and as normal they have not let me down, by 11am this morning my goodies arrived.  So I just had to get started.

Here is my progress today.....

After 1 hour of stitching (above) with some beads on already.

After 2 hours of stitching (above)

After 3 hours of stitching (above)

I have now done another hour but the light isn't good enough for a picture tonight.  These lovely ladies are sooooo easy to stitch, the bit that takes the time is the beading.

I might just try another hour tonight and I plan to keep going this weekend too.

Happy Stitching

3D Baby Card

I finally finished this baby card, I've been waiting for the baby to be born so I could put the date on it and put it together.  I stitched this early August.

I'm chuffed with how it turned out.

Kingfisher WIP after 55 hours stitching

Since my last Kingfisher update, I have managed a further 10 hours in it and now I'm nearly half way.

I will carry on for another few days, unless I get some commission stitching sent to me. Or I need a small stitch fix.

Some small finishes this year

I thought I would add a couple of my small finished stitched projects on here that I have done recently.  It's good to do some small things in between the large projects.

HAED - Gemini WIP

I just had to show you my slow progress of my HAED Gemini project, this one is going to take years to complete at this rate but it's soooo like my Bengal cat.  It has taken me 91 hours and 30 mins so far to do just this little bit.

This is what it should look like when complete.
So you can see I have a very, very long way to go.

My other birthday gifts I got in August from my cross stitching friends

Here are my other lovely gifts I got from my cross stitch friends through my cross stitch group for our birthday thread exchange we are doing this year, I was truly spoilt then too.

Sorry for the poor pictures but I got up at 3.30am to open them...lol

Above is my lovely mug rug made by a friend in Canada, I just love it, I can put my cup of tea on it and some biscuits.

My other belated pressies from my best mate Jo

Here are all the other goodies I got from Jo on Monday just gone....I was truly spoilt but like Jo said we've known each other 10 years this year through our love of stitching.

Lavendar and Lace Celtic Noel Lady

I have spent the last week trying to finish this gorgeous design.  I started it February 2012 and took a long break with it, I picked it up in March of this year but I threw the beads across the floor and was struggling with stitching on black aida, but this time I knew I was so close to finishing her I thought I would do my best to get her done.

So after a total of 90 hours stitching, the last 25 were the beads she is complete and waiting to be frame.  Sadly the photograph doesn't do her justice at all because you can't see how stunning she is with all those beads, I believe 1200 beads are stitched into her.

My Kingfisher Project after 45 hours stitching

I have just finished my Celtic Noel so I've decided to try and work on finishing my Kingfisher WIP, so here it is after 45 hours of stitching so far.
