I've been awol again, I do apologise.
I have been enabled and have started the Lakeside Fantasy SAL 2016/17.
I thought about it when they were releasing the border back in July, but I thought, no I might not like the designs. I saw the August release and thought, that's pretty but still held off, but when Septembers came out, I thought what the heck I'm going to do it.
So I'm playing catch up at the moment and I'm going to work on this an hour a day after today alongside my Witching Hour and Kingdom of Books WIP's, which I must put updates to on here.
I hope you all have a lovely stitching week.
Happy Stitching

Sorry for my absence
It's it been a while since I posted.
A lot has gone on in my life mainly my dad came to live with me a month ago because he was diagnosed with terminal cancer we thought we could give him the best end of life care. Which we did.
But sadly he passed away on Tuesday 5th July 2016. RIP Dad, miss you terribly. Will always love you. Thank you for the month together.
On a happier note here is my latest Witching Hour Update.
I also treated myself to a new lowery Workstand and long frame adapter. I used to have the lowery a couple of years ago but sold it.
But I wanted a stand that was compact and unsightly so I went back to one.
With having the adapter I'm not limited to what size frame I can have on my stand.

HAED Witching Hour update
I'm getting there slowly, but I must be half way now, this was on Monday 23rd May 2016, it has taken me 463 hours to get this far.
This below is where I was at last night, we have an eye!!!
I would love to have this one finished this year but we shall see how we go on with it. The colours are so cheeful, love it.

Love with an Open Heart by Stoney Creek
Where have a I been for the past 20+ years, I'd never taken any notice of Stoney Creek Designs, oh and now I'm in love with a good amount of them.
I stitched this one over the weekend. I am thinking of doing the set of starting an RR to do them.

I have just mounted it on a magnet board behind it, so I can change the design.

Celtic Summer Update
I'm also liking invisible thread because it saves time changing threads to the corresponding DMC.
Slow going but I'm happy.
And below where I'm at.

FFO - Touching the Autumn Sky
I pushed myself and went to Bury on my own to pick some shopping up and my frame, fought through my anxiety. While poor Don goes to the emergency dentist to try and get his tooth pulled out.
Look at this beauty, so chuffed I can't put it into words and I've got my tiny white feather in there that fluttered down from the sky a month ago today. You may need to zoom in to see it in the bottom right corner.

Witching Hour - HAED Update - possible challenge 2
Here is my witching hour update.
I wasn't going to enter the next HAED challenge, the cross country one as I already stitch cross country but not normally on colour across the page in one go.
But I had completed my page a couple of weeks ago and thought I might do it.
I would normally use the App Goodreader on my iPad, but I thought I would try again EZpdf app but, it's draining my battery and crashing a few times. I'm preserving with it because I so love the search feature for one symbol at a time. So hopefully no missed confetti stitch here and there.
Do any of my readers use this app and have you had the same problems.

Touching The Autumn Sky Finished
After a gruelling 1.5 hours of beading with invisible thread, she is complete. She should be fully finished on Saturday.
I just need to stitch the year on her too.

Autumn Sky Update - OMG hate invisible thread.
OMG that invisible thread is a nightmare. I can't see it to thread my needle then where I have to stitch.
That was heard work. Top beads done. Top part finished so not long now to the finish line. At 42 hours now I think.

Touching the Autumn Sky Upate
Just a quick update, Now on 39 hours. Still a bit to go yet. Not managed that much stitching today as we went out to Bury Market today.
I'm having the frame made and it'll be ready next weekend for £22, bit dearer than I thought. Had a price of £28 for each of the Celtic ladies.

Autumn Sky update
Today's progress. 29 hours. Don't think it'll be finished by Friday but I can still take it in Saturday to find a double mount and frame I think. I know the design area size.
Grime Guards from the UK
Whippey woo. Just got my first grime guard from Sandra. They are for the next size down Millienium frame but I don't have anything on that one but they work equally as good on the 20" frame. Love them. I'll be getting more.

Another Fully Finished Project
Another very, very old finish, which is fully finished. This one could by 2003 or before when it was stitched. I'll have to find my list of old pieces.
We bought the frame from a charity shop a couple of months ago. It seems perfect.

Touching the Autumn Sky
I'm really loving this project. I've managed 7 hours stitching so far and this is where I've got to.
Fully Finished Projects
I've had the iron out, done as best I could to get the creases out. Note to self. Don't fold your work.

Fully Finished Pieces - Need Ironing mind
Well I asked my other half if he could see if he could get some frames for these 2 pieces that have been in a box for years and I'm so pleased, over the moon, I just need to get the iron out and iron them and put back and label the dates on them.
I may even try and get the Celtic Ladies framed, well the 2 I have finished, which will spur me on for getting the others completed.
Really bargain on Bury Market these were £17.50 for the pair, not each the pair, amazing.
I will take a photo tomorrow once I've got the iron out. Chuffed to pieces. Love my other half.

It's been a while!!
I'm I know it's been a while, a lot has happened in the past 6 weeks.
We've unexpectedly had to move house.
So 3 weeks ago we moved and are now just settling in.
So I will try and catch up with my stitching updates for you now.
Here we go.....
HAED The Witching Hour
Next is HAED Gemini
I have picked up Cottage Window and I so want to get this finished but I'm finding it very boring.
So I picked HAED Cat Tales back up, mainly because now I've moved I've found a local Stitch n Chat group at the library which meets today Friday and I needed something small to take along on my Aristo Frame, so here is my progress, I think I only have 2 pages to go now and this will be complete.
But I'm going to have a new start this weekend, a very rare chart called Touching the Autum Sky by Nora Corbet, I can't wait to get started.
I've also caught up and made my next Flosstube video. Yay
Love flosstube. If you are a flosstuber, please feel free to post a comment with your link so I can subscribe.
I hope you all have a great stitching day/ week and I'll try to update more often.
Happy stitching, till next time.
Shazie

HAED Witching Hour - 332 hours
I forgot to add an update on the 1st February on The Witching Hour, this was where I was at then at 332 hours of stitching, similar to HAED Gemini but a much quicker time scale as I only started this in August 2015 but I have been spending most of my time stitching on it.
I will add another update soon on this one.
I will add another update soon on this one.
HAED Gemini - Top part complete
OMG this last page near the end was gruelling with confetti but I carried on and did it. So this has taken me 347 hours so and I started it 12th July 2012 but didn't do that much in the early years.
